so, at ACJ (that’s my college Asian College of Journalism …doing my post grad in journalism there) i have opted for the POLITICS elective

..m trying to understand the politics of our country a little better now

we started with learning what led to NEHRU being crowned wiht the prime ministerial berth post independence

..there was no choice , actually !
sardar patel  had expired, and the Socialist party found no favour with the masses , thanks to their ‘atheist’ stand.

for the moment I am juggling between 2 books

Kancha Illaiya’s  ‘why i m not a Hindu ‘ (he sure holds a grudge against the upper caste, yet his writings remind you of the 5 yr old who will just crib and cry , without reasoning it out!)

..the 2nd book i m reading , Indira , Emergency and Indian Democracy is an insight into the period of governance during the iron-lady’s time

..will keep you people posted on it

maybe we could hold discussions and debates here itself on how the upper caste has infact oppressed the lower strata.

i, for one,  had unknowingly rallied against the quotas for the OBCs back in delhi without being acquainted with the true picture of discrimination faced by them in educational institutions. Thankfully, at ACJ , I have come to understand caste politics better than ever before

at ACJ, photo journalism classes are a big hit. never before have we clicked so many photos ..

It’s not that i did not ‘blog’ before. Last summer I tried my hands at it. Was fairly successful too, believe me. I got two readers to post comments on the two blogs i had scribbled in a gap of two-three weeks..
..till, i got bored of it. I did not have anything to say. InterNet once again was just about mails, chats and orkut (i wasn’t introduced to facebook then..)

ppbbbttt..life aint that dry, is it , to not have anythin to tell others.

so,  here I am again, filled with new enthusiasm . let me make  a promise on this forum. i will remain alive, blogging each day..
not give in to boredom,

hell, it is a good way of snapping out of boredom missy (that’s my head speaking to me)  ho ho ho..i am actually talkin to myself here (pssst.. i hope nobody catches me mouthing words while typing..)

..and seriously..WHEN WILL I TAKE TO TYPING WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE KEYBOARD! I am pretty sure my instincts will lead me on well.
